Caffeine Limited is now supplying the newly launched Schaerer Coffee Skye, a compact and fully automatic coffee machine that produces top quality coffee with just a touch. It also has a comprehensive choice of customisation options that makes it ideal for a range of uses.
Combining innovative technology and finely judged aesthetics, it can make up to 180 drinks a day, so is perfect for operations with a medium demand for coffee. It features a newly designed fresh milk system, Pure Foam, which can dispense both hot and cold milk as well as creating hot milk foam on demand. The design of three hoppers, two bean and one hot chocolate, allows for a wide variety of drinks options for the consumer.
A range of pre-defined hot and cold drinks can be instantly accessed via the full colour 8 inch interactive touchscreen, which is deliberately set off from the main unit to maximise ergonomics. Recipes can be fully customised to suit the customers’ needs and wants, and through Schaerer’s telemetry system, managers are able to access information and data remotely. The control screen also supports imagery and video, allowing operators to upload and promote their own content.
A comprehensive range of accessories and add-ons means the Skye’s the limit when it comes to customising the machine to the site’s requirements. The system has been designed to make installation of add-on devices simple, with all the required connections accessible from the sides of the unit. For example, a ten litre capacity milk cooler can be mounted on the side or undercounter, which can be connected to two units either side of it, providing even more variety with the coffee menu.
As it only requires two standard 13amp power connections, and there is an option for a 4.9 litre internal water tank, the Skye can be used almost anywhere. It can also be connected to the mains water supply, with everything needed being accessible from the front of the unit for ease of installation. A step-by-step video demonstrating the cleaning process makes cleaning the Skye as easy as possible. Warning messages are also in place to inform the customer when a descale is needed, which is done by a few easy steps.
“The Skye takes Schaerer’s unrivalled knowhow and lets anyone make great coffee with just a touch,” says Joe Stockwell, business development manager at Caffeine Limited. “It’s flexible too – ideal for both self-service and for any business that wants to offer great coffee without needing barista skills!”
