The partnership between Caffeine and Drake and Morgan began 12 years ago, marking the start of a transformative journey for both organisations. At that time, Drake and Morgan operated nine sites and sought to enhance their coffee service.
Our collaboration began through an introduction by Stuart Consultancy. We presented a comprehensive quote for nine grinders and machines, positioning ourselves as a full turnkey solution for their machine and coffee needs.
Resolving operational challenges
Before partnering with Caffeine, Drake and Morgan faced significant operational challenges due to reliance on multiple vendors for various services. Their previous machine rental programme meant they never owned their equipment, leading to escalating costs over time.
Caffeine stepped in to offer a 360-degree turnkey solution that streamlined operations, reduced costs, and provided valuable assets in the form of owned machinery. Notably, these machines have been operational for an average of 10 years and have paid for themselves within just 3 to 6 months.
Successful installations and ongoing support
Our first machine installations took place at The Happenstance and Anthologist. The success of this initial project, which included onsite training, menu development, and effective servicing, marked the beginning of a flourishing relationship. As Drake and Morgan expanded, we consistently supplied all necessary machines and coffee.
Growth and evolution
Today, our partnership has grown significantly. We manage all 18 of Drake and Morgan’s locations, providing comprehensive support that includes coffee, machines, grinders, and ongoing service. This collaboration has proven mutually beneficial, allowing both companies to thrive and evolve together.
New coffee collaboration
After 12 years of evolving together, we are excited to announce the recent launch of a coffee collaboration. We have prioritised sourcing beans from female coffee growers, particularly smallholder farmer groups in the Amazon rainforest of Northern Peru and the Copan region of Honduras. This unique blend, crafted from carefully hand-picked high-grown Arabica beans, offers a smooth and well-balanced cup with bright citrus acidity and delightful notes of chocolate and pecan. Each sip not only delivers an exceptional coffee experience but also supports these dedicated female farmers and their communities.
